Hut Update

Bob Tucker has been busy obtaining quotes and consulting planning officers. He is waiting to hear from planning officers re site by Modbury Farm (land owned by Mr. Mallinson). No other suitable site has been found yet.

Car Boot Sale

The Car Boot on Sunday 27h June made £289 profit - many thanks to everyone who helped with this. The next one will be on Saturday 28 Ih August from 10 am to 2 pm (field opposite Burton Bradstock garage). We need items to sell and cakes which can be left with Ruth (Puncknowle), Marion (Swyre) or Pat Tucker (Burton Bradstock), or bring

along on day. Help is also needed. Scouts will be selling food and drinks.

WE Forms

Please complete and return as soon as possible.

T Shirts

These have proved very popular. Please could payment accompany all future orders.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions will increase to £13 per term from September 1999. Pat Tucker will attend the first three meetings of each term to collect subscriptions. Please could they be sent in an envelope clearly marked with name.

BEAVERS

We are delighted to welcome Denise Hunt as new Beaver Leader. We are most grateful to Paul for his hard work and glad that he's staying on to assist Denise.

Beavers had a very successful day out to Crealv in May. They recently had an enjoyable evening at Abbotsbury Gardens - many thanks to parent Steve Griffiths for arranging this. Paul would welcome more parent help for further walks/visits. Camp at Charmouth on 10/11th July.

CUBS

Cubs invited parents to Join them playing skittles at the White Horse, Litton Cheney after Cubs had navigated the way there. A good evening with a very close result! Help wiII be needed at summer camp 31st July

SCOUTS

Scouts have made and launched rockets. Made a mud oven and cooked with it, built a raft, which will soon be launched. They also found time to cut the grass round the hut and raise money at the Car Boot by selling doughnuts - thank you!

Many thanks-to the Leaders for all their hard work, it is appreciated. We hope for fine weather for camps and that every one enjoys the summer holidays. If you know of any boys who may be interested in joining Bride Valley scout Group, please give them the phone number of one of the leaders.
