Beach safety

 

The Coastguards recommended that to improve safety on the beach a minimum of 6 life guards would need to work shifts from June to Sept between the hours of 10am to 6pm at a cost of £16,000-£20,000 per annum

 

 

Raise funds for Life guards

 

Street lights

 

Has recently been considered by the Parish Council.  The majority view is that street lights would be wholly inappropriate

Policing of the village

 

Some people requested a village policeman.  Neighbourhood Watch has 19 co-ordinators covering the whole parish and the crime rate is negligible

 

2 Police Community Support Officers are based in Bridport and resources are deployed in areas of greatest need
