The Anchor, High Street, Burton Bradstock

The Anchor is run by Neil Cadle and Andrew Overhill who are both local and have plenty of experience in running bars and restaurants. Neil and Andrew are operating with Mike Harris, the Head Chef, who has been at the Anchor since 1999. Their aim is to continue to run the bars and restaurant to the existing very high standards expected by regular and new customers alike.

The Anchor is renowned for superb seafood dishes. Most of the fish is bought locally, and if you like shell fish, such as mussels, crabs, lobsters and scallops, or brill, skate wings, grilled red mullet, dover sole, sea bass, then these all feature strongly on the menu. Alternatively for meat lovers there are steak platters of sirloin or rib eye or fillet. All followed by home made, mouth watering, sweets.

The well stocked bar offers a wide range of draught beers including, Otter, John Smith's, Tribute and Whitbread Best, together with Thatcher's Cider and several Lagers

Situated fairly close to the Hive and Chesil beaches, the redecorated bar and restaurant convey a real sense of the sea, with many shell displays and other artifacts.
