CHURCH FETE

ST MARY'S

BURTON BRADSTOCK

Thursday 4th August 2005

POST SCRIPT

Record numbers flocked to the Rectory gardens to enjoy and to take part in all the many and varied attractions - including all the usual stalls and games of skill, tombola, grand draw and auction. There was music and Scottish dancing in the garden and handbell ringing and organ music in the Church as well as the opportunity to climb the church tower. Above all there was a great sense of fun and enjoyment. None of this could have happened without hours of hard work and preparation by the fete committee and the stallholders and the generosity of all those who gave donations and produce. Of course, thanks in no small measure are due to all those who attended - whether villagers or holidaymakers.

Oh yes - and by the way - the sum of over £4,800 was raised for St. Mary's Church!

PLEASE NOTE THAT NEXT YEAR'S FETE IS SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE - AS USUAL - ON THE FIRST THURSDAY IN AUGUST - THAT'S THURSDAY, 3rd AUGUST, 2006.
