Art Exhibition and Sale 15th-23rd
Music Festival 16th-21st

Inaugurated in 1981, this is the 34th year for the Burton Bradstock Festival of Music and Art. The Festival takes places in mid-August, presenting an astonishing range of high quality events in just eight days, including orchestral concerts, evening and lunchtime recitals, intimate late evening performances, a children's workshop and an art exhibition. Most of the concerts take place in Burton Bradstock’s exquisite 16th century church. The season is preceded by a Spring Concert on 5th June in the village hall.

Details of the programme for this year will be available from early May, and you will be able to book tickets from 9th May. Preliminary information will be sent to the Friends of the Festival in their Newsletter in late March. Why not become a Friend? See the Festival web site for details.

The Festival’s Musical Director is David Juritz, one of the world’s most celebrated violinists. David Juritz studied at the Royal College of Music where he won the college’s highest award, the Tagore medal. He was leader of the London Mozart players for 20 years and has appeared as a soloist in North and South America, the Far East, Europe, South Africa and Australia. His programming for the Festival combines inspired collaborations with an eclectic range of music to ensure there is truly something to surprise and delight everyone.
