Alioth - a german boat shipwrecked on 13th May, 1923. It was loaded at West Bay with gravel for Scotland,
but the Captain refused to pay for a pilot to get out of harbour to save money but found it wasn't quite so easy!
The ship was a total loss - we wonder what he told the owners!!??
